XTiSP, an abbreviation of XML Transformation language indended for Stream Processing, had been originally developed as an XML transforamtion language. Using XTiSP, we can program an XML transfromation program as tree manipulation without considering that the program will be implemented as stream processing and can obtain an XML stream processor for free. The framework of automatic generation of XML stream processors is based on attribute grammar. Since it is applicable to implementation of other XML transforamtion languages such as XSLT, we currently say `XTiSP' for the framework itself. So, we use `XTiSP/IV' for the original language XTiSP because of its programming style based on invite-visit strategy. XTiSP is essentially a one-man project by K. Nakano. I have developed almost all of XTiSP products myself. |
